Hope KL Tertiary Camp 2008 – One L1fe, Live It To The Max!!!!!!!

Found this promo video while I was searching for the recap video of the recent student camp online… like it very much, it is so cute lor… all the pastors and leaders are dressed up in military uniforms (thanks to Photoshop… hehe…) in the video and the song is really chun too!!!! Love it… Hope that you will like it too…

This is a blessed camp I would say and it is something really different from the previous student camps which I have been to. Many wonderful things had happened during the camp and after the camp. Most of us were touched by God and some desire to be more committed to Him. One of my CG visitors finally decided to be water baptised at the camp and one brother from UKM accepted Christ during Sunday Service the following week after the camp. Really happy for that… weeeee… ^_^

Actually I went to the camp one day later coz need to fetch some of the campers. Woke up at 4am on Saturday and departed at 5.30am to Bagan Lalang. It was so dark and we did not really know the place, just depend on the map given by Joshua. It was really an adventure… in the dark some more… we have overshot and almost reached Pantai Morib!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahha… 200m more to Pantai Morib… but finallly we have reached Bagan Lalang safely and on time for the programme of the day.

All of us were grouped together in a team of 20 the max and each group was named after a particular country. I was put into Turkey team with all the KE2, Nottingham and NEC members and visitors. It was hard at first to unite everybody as a team coz the group is too diverse already… we have different nationalities, languages, culture, and preferences in the team. But thanks to our Team Leader brother Ming Hau who has the never give up spirit and still trust that we can make it. We were the last fifth team at the beginning and became the 2nd Runner Up during the end of the camp!!!!!!!!

Actually most of the team members were astonished and shocked when the results were out… the team leader even asked bro Daniel for the reason of winning… ahahhahhahaha… guess the committee and God saw the progress of the team to be finally more united so we are granted the award to appreciate the efforts we all put into the activities as a team. Thanks to bro Heng Hong who treated us the seafood during one of the dinners and bro Ming Hau and Hen Seng who treated the team a luxurious seafood supper near the camp site. Thanks a lot, guys!!! It was so yummmmyyyyyy… It is a nice treat and a good choice for ‘reward on earth’…. akakkakkakakaka… Go go Turkey Team!!!!!!!!!

I had a good time throughout the camp even though there are some ups and downs here and there… but I still enjoyed it as a whole. One of the most unforgettable moments during the camp for me is the Fire Fighter session which all the firemen in the camp had to rescue the victims trapped in the building… We were briefed at the beginning not to let them save all of us within 30 minutes, else we will be punished. So everyone gave their best in acting to be the casualties… ahahhahhahaa… Some acted so well that nobody could move them… lol… I was supposed to be the victim who was injured at both legs and could not walk at all. Two sisters came to my rescue at different time but they did not know how to move me to a safe place by their own so they left. A brave brother came at last and saved me. He had to carry me out of the building… I was a bit worried at first, scared that he would drop me half way…. hahahahahha… but finally he managed to get me out of the building but sweated quite a lot… Very paiseh… ahahhahahhahhaha… I’m not as light as he thought… ;P

It will be my last student camp and for some of the group members as well, so personally I think that it is a good closure for us who are moving on to Working Adult Camp next year onwards… hehe…
