The Covenant of Unconditional Love

“All of your past actions and your future actions will not make me stop loving you. Even though I may not agree with your ideas and actions, I will continue to love you. I will do my best in every possible way to show love and concern for you so that you will experience a touch of God’s unconditional love through me.”

The Covenant of Wholehearted Help

“I want to do my best to help you when you need help. I will give my time to you, not only for the meetings but I will also be available to you at other times when you need me.”

The Covenant of Unfailing Prayer

“I promise that I will pray for you every day. I believe that God will answer my prayers and He will bless you and help you.”

The Covenant of Openness

“I promise that I will do my best to be a person who is open, not hiding my feelings of joy or pain. I will trust you with my problems and show you that you are valuable to me because I need you.”

The Covenant of Identification with Others

“In the same way that I need love, I intend to be sensitive to your needs and your feelings. I am willing to listen to you, to try to understand you, and to identify with your feelings. I will sincerely encourage you at every opportunity.”

The Covenant of Confidentiality

“I promise to keep the things that you share in the group confidential to maintain an atmosphere of being able to open up together. However, the pastor is one person who should know of various problems in our body, so there should be no secrets withheld from the pastor of the Church.”

The Covenant of Submission to Loving Correction

“I realize that my life has not been completely changed to be like Jesus’, therefore, I need to be corrected in my areas of weaknesses and lack. I am willing to be corrected by other members in the care group, and promise to respond without resistance, but in responsibility and obedience to God’s Word.”

These are the 7 covenants we have signed among the 6 core team members in KE2 namely Kay Yong, Nai Hwa, Hui Chiat, Joshua, Eric and myself with the witness of our Lord Jesus Christ. The promises above look almost impossible for a normal human being to keep. However, Christ is in the center of our relationship so I am confident that we can draw the strength from God and depend on His grace in times of needs and challenges.

I feel good to be part of this family and to be covenanted to all of you. Like this covenant especially the part of unfailing prayer… it’s comforting & soothing to know that someone or more than one person will be praying for you and your needs everyday!!!! Where to find this kind of people??!!! From KE2, Hope of God Serdang!!!!! Ahahhahahhahahha… ;)

Hope that you feel the same as well.;) You are truly a bunch of wonderful and beautiful people of God. You are my team mates, my family, you are my brothers and my sisters. Love ya all!!!
