What Have I Done In Kuching? (Part 2)
After LC, we have one day off to tour around Kuching on Sat before my flight on Sunday morning (6:00 am!!!!!). So, I’d like to go to some place which I have never been to as this is my third trip to Kuching. Stephanie & Kia Ing suggested to bring us to Kubah National Park for hiking. So, my love for hiking has overcome my love for shopping and I went there excitedly… hehehe…

Kubah National Park
We reached the park HQ around 9.30am then started to walk along the main trail. We saw quite a many exotic species of plants and animals. Will show you the pictures slowly… We even saw some traps for the butterflies along the way set up by a UNIMAS student for research purpose. He used pineapple as the bait for the butterflies and quite a few traps with victims inside…. Hmm… I didn’t know that butterflies love pineapple??!!

Some cute looking flower on the tree

Trap for butterfly
There are some interesting trees, plants and animals I have encountered along the way and here are the pictures…

Pitcher Plants!!! First time saw so many green colour pitcher plants lying together-gether...

The kind of friend we encountered a few times along the way...

Worm that rolled down from the path and made Stephanie scream... haha... I think it is a very colourful and beautiful creature personally...

Plant with seeds/fruits on the branches

Beautiful Tree... I like the shape of the roots...

Nature fresh

Another Friend

Shiny Fungus
We walked along the waterfall trail so surely will end up at a waterfall… after around one hour… Tada…

Our Sweet Destination

The water is very cooling

Awesome view!
We played water besides the waterfall as this is a surprise visit, some of us did not bring extra clothes and wear proper attire and shoes… The string on one of Sue Mian’s slippers was broken just before we went down… but… we practised our survival skills…

Front View

Back View
Looks very cool right? It did sustain till half way and we strengthen it using a rattan string along the way down the hill… Yim Fong is so creative and innovative… It was fun!!

Walking down the hill...
We walked for about two hours back as we wanted to try a new trail down. It skipped the main trail and it was much more adventurous than the one we took when we came. Some of us even thought of giving up half way but Sue Mian yang semangat kept us moving… I like your spirit sis!!! Hehehe… It was really challenging especially for the last 1500 meter… I learned perseverence… as long as we keep moving, we will arrive some day if we never give up!!!

Mission Accomplished!!!!
I was really really fatiqued after we reached the Park HQ. Lied in the car and kept drinking 100 plus, almost dehydrated… ahahhahhaha… then we headed for our “antidode”=====> Food!!!!!!! Had a nice belacan bee hoon and ice kacang in Kuching town and headed back home for a shower and nap = Heaven!!!! Ahahhahahhahhaha….
Conclusion, it was a fun trip and enjoyable time suffer together as a team. You may consider to go if you have a chance to visit Kuching again next time. (Wink! Wink!)
Nice flora and fauna. I like the fruits in spiral arrangement. You really enjoyed yourself ya. We (UPM+UKM+CyberN) everyday slept and ate nia. The Hope Kuching brother who hosted us also bingung why were we so easy to fook see.. Hahaha… :p
Ya, I like them too. The sister (Stephanie) who brought us there also wonder why we encountered so many animals which she did not get to see during her last few trips. She said we kept taking pic of the plants and animals only, and not human being… ahahhahaha… A lot of big fat worms on the path… ya, I heard that you all ate and slept a lot in Kuching too… as long as you all happy ler… It was an enjoyable fun trip, meant for rest… hehehe… though came back muscle pain for a few days due to the long journey hiking… ;P but still fun. I went Broga hill for hiking also last weekend, stay tuned for the pictures… coming soon…
